| Info | Brendan Sharkey is serving his second term as State Representative, representing the 88th District, located entirely within Hamden.
He serves on the Select Committee on Aging, Environment Committee, Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee.
Sharkey was born in Orange, New Jersey and later moved to Connecticut in September 1971. He attended Georgetown University graduating in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts in English/Philosophy. He later graduated from UCONN Law School in 1989. He currently is an Attorney and co-owner with his wife, Debra of Connecticut Zoning and Permitting LLC, a land use consulting firm.
Currently, Sharkey is a member of Hamden Chamber of Commerce, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Hamden Boys and Girls Club, and CT Bar Association.
Sharkey has two married stepsons, Chad and Jeff McDaniel. Debra and Brendan now have three granddaughters: Coralin, Madeline and Megan.
