| Info | Steve Fontana (D-North Haven) was elected to the General Assembly in November 1996 to represent the 87th Assembly District, which covers all of North Haven. Fontana serves on the General Assembly's Environment and Insurance committees, and serves as the Vice-Chair of the Planning and Development Committee.
Fontana, who works as a title examiner, holds a B.A. degree in Creative Writing from Oberlin College, an M.B.A. degree in Marketing from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University, and a J.D. degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
Fontana was re-elected to a new four-year term on the North Haven Board of Finance in 1999. He previously served from 1993-95 on the North Haven Conservation Commission.
Fontana is a former member of the Montowese (North Haven) Volunteer Fire Company, and currently serves as Secretary of the Montowese Volunteer Fire Association.
