Info | Stéphane Lauzon has been a municipal councillor with the City of Gatineau since November 2009. Having worked at Canadian International Paper (CIP) in the 1980s, he decided to return to school in 1992 to complete a teaching certificate and went on to work in the field of vocational training for over 20 years. He currently manages construction projects at a company that he started himself, in addition to his duties as municipal councillor. Currently, he is working towards a Bachelor`s of Business Administration at Université du Québec en Outaouais.
In his capacity as councillor, he sits on the capital property and budget committee, the standing committee on housing and the committee on seniors, among others. He has served as chair of the Sports, Recreation and Community Life committee since 2012 and was vice-chair of the 2015 Jeux de la francophonie.
Stéphane is the father of three children, with his core values surrounding family and respect for others. As an active member of his community, he is ready to represent Argenteuil—La Petite-Nation in the federal election on October 19.
