Team (Bushmasters) and assigned the task of clearing the vital Bicol Peninsula.
1947-51 Commanding General, 103rd Infantry Division (OR). Promoted to Maj. General on March 31, 1949 and retired as a Major General (USAR) on September 30, 1951.
1952 Approached to accept a cabinet post in the Eisenhower administration, but declined
