InfoRepresentative Chris Carter, a Democrat, represents parts of St. Louis (District 76) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2018.

In addition to his legislative duties, Carter is the president of CCC, Inc. and Summit Holdings. He attended Ashworth College and served in the U.S. Army.

Carter is the former 27th Ward Committeeman in St. Louis. He serves as chairman of the 4th Senatorial District and treasurer of 76th District, on the boards of the West End Clinic, Prostate Cancer Awareness, 100 Black Men, the Paula J. Carter Foundation and the Mary Grove Child Center. He has received an advocacy award from the St. Louis Mental Health Board, a Distinguished Gentleman Award and the Martin Luther King Tribute Award.

Born in St. Louis, Carter is the son of former Senator Paula Carter. He resides in St. Louis and attends Friendly Temple Church.
