| Info | I was born in a small village in rural Gambia to nomadic parents. I immigrated to the United States in 2000, with brief stays in New York and Washington DC, and I have since lived in Madison with my wife of seven years, Fatou Jawo. I attended Madison Area Technical College to study Information Technology and become a U.S. citizen in 2005. Education and opportunities for youth have always been very important to me. I have experience working in youth development at the international level, and together with my cultural heritage and knowing the challenges of immigration, I am dedicated to making sure all of our voices are heard.
