Info | As a respected leader in the community, I am committed to working hard for each and every citizen who calls south Madison home. South Madison needs new leadership, with new vision. I decided to run for alder after countless conversations with community leaders and the residents of south Madison. After serving the residents of south Madison as the Arbor Hills Neighborhood president and chair of the South Madison Planning Council, I have witnessed firsthand how important it is to have a strong leader, and a strong voice on our City Council.
I have been a community activist for over 15 years, working with neighborhoods both within District 14 and outside of our district. As a community leader I have developed relationships with local and state officials in order to provide a better community for our residents, and I plan on continuing those relationships as your next alder.
Throughout my years of service to the south Madison community, I have had the privilege to serve on multiple city of Madison committees. In 2008 I was a proud member of the Zoning Code Rewrite Advisory Committee. This committee was responsible for rewriting the outdated 1966 zoning codes. We tackled important community issues such as green infrastructure, public health, population density, commercial land use, and transit that affect the residents and economic opportunities of Madison. I am also on the Madison Library Board, which continues to strive to add community services in all of our neighborhood branches throughout the city.
