Info | Jay’s career in radio and television has taken him across the country and back. He appeared in a number of films, including cult classics “Kingdom of the Spiders” with William Shatner and “The Dark” with William Devane,
After an audition as host of a proposed TV game show called Jeopardy, Jay’s life might have turned out quite different if the producers hadn’t decided to audition “just one more host”. Sadly for Jay, that host was Alex Trebeck and the rest of the story is game show history. But the story still ends well for Jay because he ended up anchoring morning shows in LA and NYC, a Formula One race, and Nascar races as well. He was even scheduled to cover Olympic equestrian events in 1980, but that gig was cancelled when the USA boycotted the games.
Jay ultimately landed back in Arizona where for more than 25 years he has been a conservative talk show host on KTAR in Phoenix. As a well-known personality he has appeared at countless events throughout the valley including Kiwanis and Rotary clubs, the River of Time Museum Award dinner in Fountain Hills and the Sunridge Foundation Fundraiser (now known as the Fountain Hills Community Foundation Fund). He also MC’d STAAR NIGHTS for the Scottsdale Area Association of Realtors (a benefit for the Hutch fund).
Jay’s Personal Story
Jay is a US Air Force veteran and a member of the Scottsdale American Legion. He supports national and local law enforcement agencies and the Law Enforcement Memorial Fund.
Jay also held an Arizona Real Estate license and for almost 30 years Jay has worked for MCO Properties and MCO Realty in Fountain Hills for 16 years.
He is married to Judith Paxton and they live in Scottsdale, Arizona. Jay and his wife are both members of the Lincoln Republican Women’s Club.
