InfoServing the people of Rotherham has been the greatest honour of my life.

I have had a deep connection with the area for many years. I started my career in Rotherham, running art and environment workshops in schools and libraries for Rotherham Borough Council, before running Rotherham Arts Centre. Prior to being elected as Rotherham's MP, I was Chief Executive of Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.

Since I was first elected in 2012, I have fought tirelessly on the issues that matter to my constituents. From campaigning to support victims and survivors of Child Sexual Exploitation, fighting to defend our steel industry, or to improve our local public services, like buses and the NHS, I have always put Rotherham first.

For too long, our town has been ignored by decision makers in London and neglected by a Tory Government that neither understands nor cares about our needs and aspirations. I give my all to make sure your views are heard and to speak out on behalf of Rotherham and my constituents.

In addition to my work representing Rotherham, I am also Chair of the International Development Committee, a role that lets me scrutinise Government spend and make sure tax payers get value for their money.

I always value hearing from my constituents. If you want to get in touch to share your views, or if there is anything I can do to assist you, please do contact me.
