Info | Reginald Bolding is a lifelong education and justice advocate working in the South Mountain/Laveen community. Reginald, appointed by the mayor, serves on the City of Phoenix Public Defender Review Committee and the Community Development Review Committee. He also sits on non-profit boards working with issues in women’s health, family rights, and education.
The Arizona Republic named Reginald as one of “14 Individuals Poised to Change Arizona in 2014”. In 2012, he was named by the Phoenix Business Journal as one of Phoenix’s 40 people under the age of 40 that are leading the way in Phoenix. As a candidate for the Arizona State House of Representatives Reginald, gained wide support and endorsements from a number of community leaders and organizations including Arizona AFL-CIO, Communication Workers of America, Arizona Building and Construction Trades Council, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona and many others. He is also a national and regional Political Fellowship recipient of Leadership for Educational Equity (LEE) and the Center for Progressive Leadership (CPL).
Reginald turned down a full-ride law school scholarship after graduating at the top of his class from the University of Cincinnati, where he earned an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and International Security to become a special education teacher in South Phoenix. He later became a Clinical Instructor at Arizona State University and Founder of the non-profit organization Future Leaders of Arizona. Currently, Reginald is the Director of Public Partnerships for Teach For America – Phoenix.
Reginald received his Master of Education degree from Arizona State University and is currently pursuing a doctorate degree from ASU. He is running for the Arizona State House of Representatives which includes parts of Central Phoenix, South Phoenix, Laveen, Guadalupe, and Tempe.
