InfoThomas Bieker was elected as an at-large City Council member in April 2011. He currently serves as a member of the The Plans and Policies Committee and The Community Involvement Committee.

Mr. Bieker attended Mark Twain Elementary, Jarrett Junior High, and Parkview High School. Upon graduating high school, he joined the Navy, in which he actively served for approximately 4 years with military intelligence. Currently, Mr. Bieker serves in the Missouri Army National Guard.

Following his years in the Navy, Mr. Bieker returned home, and attended the Ozarks Technical College, and Drury University to achieve higher education where he obtained a Bachelors of Science in Biology and a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science. While attending Drury, Mr. Bieker obtained an internship with Midwest Environmental Consultants, and following his college graduation in January 2008, he joined the firm full time as an Environmental Scientist.

In addition, Mr. Bieker served as a member of the Springfield-Greene County Environmental Advisory Board from April 6, 2009 until he resigned due to being elected to the City Council. He is also a past board member of the Junior Chamber (Jaycees), President of the Certified Hazardous Materials Managers Greater Ozarks Chapter and serves on the board for Solid Waste District O.

Mr. Bieker is married to Natalie, and together they have one son.
