| Info | ElGene Ver Dught, J.D., is a practicing mediator, working with involved parties to cooperatively resolve disputes in family law, personal injuries, insurance claims, creditor-debtor, farm law, intra- and inter-agency and corporate conflicts as well as personnel management, commercial and international trade matters. He is founder of Mediation Services of Missouri.
ElGene is a member of the Missouri Bar ADR Committee, past president of the Higginsville Rotary Club, past member of the Lafayette County Health Advisory Board, present member of the Foster Grandparents Association Board of Directors, and active in several other associations. He has been recognized in Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America and received the Certificate of World Leadership. He is past president of the Heartland Mediators Association and of the Association of Missouri Mediators.
ElGene is a former legislative aide for US Senator Tom Eagleton and US Congressman Ike Skelton when he was a state senator.
ElGene and his wife Julie, an Occupational Therapist Consultant, have two children and five grandchildren. They live on a farm near Higginsville.
