InfoI have enjoyed Jefferson County most of my life, with friends who lived here, to summer recreation, to having a rock band, The Kingsdales, who played in Jefferson County in the late 60’s.

Jann and I have been married for 44 years and we have four children: Tom, Marc, Karen and Ghyl (Jill), one of which resides in Jefferson County with her family. We built a home in the River Hills subdivision near Crystal City and moved to Jefferson County in 2002. We sold that home in 2007 and now live at 6604 Crimson Lane in Barnhart.

I am well schooled from the streets of St. Louis, the United States Marine Corps, to my Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Maryville University. I retired early (at age 54) from SWBT where I also took advantage of extensive training offered by SWBT/SBC/AT&T.

I am currently self-employed and have donated much of my time to civic and community-based activities such as PTA President during the 1980’s when my children were in school, the Board of Directors for the Judevine Center for Autism 1986-1996 (now Touchpoint Autism Services), United Way 100 Neediest Cases Board Member 1992-1997, SBC’s Speaker’s Board 1985-2000, Festus Special Road District (elected public position) 2005-2007, Jefferson County Writer’s Society Board 2005-current, Concerned Citizens for Crystal City 2007-current and Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity Board/Construction Manager 2005-current; I am responsible for building fourteen homes for fourteen families in Jefferson County. In addition, I have served as subdivision trustee for Wynfield Estates 1989-2002, the Road Committee for River Hills Subdivision 2003-2007 and served on the Fountains at Moss Hollow Board of Trustees 2007-2012. I am also currently serving on the University of Missouri Extension board and elected position.

I have many concerns about District 112 and Jefferson County and our politics. The first is that I have lived here long enough to recognize the fat, lazy, bloated, guffawing bureaucratic mess that exists, but I haven’t lived here long enough to accept it or be tainted by it.

My question is, "WHERE IS THE LEADERSHIP FOR DISTRICT 112? I AM THE ONLY CANDIDATE RUNNING FOR THIS OFFICE WHO LIVES IN OUR DISTRICT. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD VOTE FOR SOMEONE WHO DOSEN'T LIVE HERE????? PLEASE VOTE FOR ME FOR DISTRICT 112.

Much of what I see is a bunch of old guys sitting around waiting to retire who still live in the 1980’s or maybe 1880's. I suggest that we hurry up and vote them out before we fall even further behind the rest of the state. We need to start moving district 112 and Jefferson County into the 21st Century. Let’s support progress and innovative ideas such as business incubators, technology centers and support groups for citizens who want to break away with creative business plans that will lead us to the future. With the current elected officials we get seconds, thirds or the waste left over from West County Politics. How about a novel idea – let’s lead the other counties not in heavy industry, which will fail in the future, but intellectual commerce and use our combined intelligence to develop our children into young citizens so that they become the growth engine that we need for the future of Jefferson County.

There are so many things to consider and that will effect the lifestyle for the future of District 112. We need someone who can lead into the future, who can hear the people and understand what needs to be done and do it! With me as your elected representative for District 112 you will have government closer to the people and who will help make better decisions for the 230,000 men women and children who now live in Jefferson county.

I will always represent truthfully, candid an honestly every man, woman and child in Jefferson County.

Thank you for voting for me your favorite Republican in the August 2012 primary. Also, as the only Republican who lives in District 112.
