The Early Years
One of ten children born to Thomas and Colleen (Kelleher) Sullivan
Attended Glen Oak and St. Bernard’s Grade School
Graduated, Peoria High School (1970)
Worked part-time at Columbia Rug and Linoleum
Golden Glove State Boxing champion and AAU State champion from 1970 until 1972

Business Experience
Installer for Columbia Rug and Linoleum
Began Sullivan Floors in 1972 (it later became S & H Floorcovering)
Formed JP Companies in 1988 (a development company)
Bought several buildings in downtown Peoria, developed “Le Vieux Carre” which consists of 4 restaurants, a micro brewery, dinner theater, offices and apartments
Co-owner, Kellehers Irish Pub and Eatery (established in 2001)
Community Involvement
Co-founded the Peoria County Boxing Club in 1977
Founded Richwoods Parents Tennis Association in 1990
Past President, Richwoods Swim and Dive Parents Association
20 year Board Member and Past President Boys and Girls Club of Peoria
Member Heart of Peoria Commission which conducted studies of the Warehouse and Riverfront Districts and developed many recommendations that have been implemented
Member and Chairman, Peoria Traffic Commission
Assisted City of Peoria with redesign of Oak and Walnut Streets to make them more pedestrian friendly
Helped form the Warehouse District Association and remains an active member
Served on Peoria’s Washington Street Advisory Committee which helped design Washington Street through the Warehouse District
