| Info | Ali was born and raised in the London area and has been a resident of London West for nine years.
As a practicing lawyer, Ali has the skills needed to advocate effectively on behalf of London West residents. He and his beautiful wife Rasha El-Tawil, share a strong belief in civic duty and feel a responsibility to contribute to the betterment of their community.
With a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario and a Law degree from Windsor Law School, Ali has experience both as a lawyer practicing with Szemenyei MacKenzie Godin LLP, and as an instructor teaching at Fanshawe College.
Beyond his work life, Ali has contributed significantly as a volunteer to the community. Ali has been on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of London, volunteered with the Elgin/Middlesex/London Crime Stoppers and was an organizer of the Sunshine Foundation Charity Golf Tournament. Ali also enjoys coaching and participating in community sports like soccer, baseball and hockey.
Worried about the state of Ontario which has become a weaker and more burdened province, Ali thinks that the McGuinty Liberal government is oblivious to negative impact they have had on hard working Ontarians. McGuinty has little respect for the hard-earned tax dollars of families. When elected, Ali wants to provide tax relief for Ontario families, balance Ontario’s budget and work to improve health care delivery, ensuring access to a family doctor for all Ontarians.
