Info | Angela Salewsky grew up in Kitchener, the youngest daughter of German immigrants. She was an active member of the Concordia Club, a local German club, singing in the German choir and working at the annual Oktoberfest festival. During her high school years Angela worked for her father, who was the editor/publisher of Cable Communications Magazine.
While working on her Bachelor of Arts degree in Honours English Co-op at the University of Waterloo, Angela worked for IBM in Toronto during her co-op work terms. After obtaining her degree, Angela moved to Toronto permanently to start her career at Xerox. She has since been successful in sales/business development in the Transportation Industry and for the last 9 years has been a Business Development Manager in the Security Industry. Angela also speaks German and French.
In 1997 Angela and her husband moved to Etobicoke-Lakeshore. Being an outdoor enthusiast, she thoroughly enjoys living near the lake where she can be found rollerblading and hiking along the lakeshore trails and parks and playing baseball in a local baseball league.
Angela is an active member of the Green Party, volunteering on campaigns, including the last federal election campaign. She is active in several grass-roots environmental organizations, and contributes to local ending hunger programs.
As an avid scuba-diver, Angela advocates for the health of our oceans, which affect the overall health of our planet. She is concerned about the inter-relationship of how what we do on land affects the oceans, and vice-versa.
Angela is honoured to be the Green Party of Ontario candidate for Etobicoke-Lakeshore. She believes we can create a strong economy focusing on sensible solutions such as green jobs and initiatives, supporting local businesses and economies, promoting sustainable, local farming, increasing public transit, and promoting healthier communities.
