| Info | Mr. Buehner, a lifelong county resident, is completing his fourth four-year term. He began serving as full-time DA on July 1, 2006. Before that, he operated a private law practice since 1978.
My name is Robert W. Buehner, Jr., known to most everyone as “Bob”.
I was admitted to the practice of law before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in 1978. It has been my honor and privilege to serve as the elected District Attorney of Montour County in north central PA since 1992 – which apparently makes me the second in longevity among PA’s 67 current district attorneys. I was selected by my prosecutorial peers to serve as president of the Penna. District Attorneys Association in 2001 even though I am from the smallest county in land mass.
Additionally, I serve as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the Middle District of PA.
In 1994, I was appointed by Governor Ridge as an advisor for the Special Session of the General Assembly relating to Criminal Justice Matters.
