| Info | Jack East is a veteran political activist who has fought against U.S. imperialist domination of Canada and for the rights of the workers throughout his life. In the 1960s he played a role in the militant resistance of the railworkers and stood for the unity of the Canadian working class. He has been actively involved in opposing the use of chemical defoliants on the rail bed, and in opposing pulp mill pollution. He has been in the front ranks of the opponents of imperialist war and the defence of the peoples of the world. He was also a MLPC candidate in the 2000 federal election.
