| Info | He and wife, Ellen, are the parents of two children: Lara and Dr. Molly McClendon. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Birmingham-Southern University and Doctor of Optometry Degree from the University of Houston. Dr. McClendon was a member of the U.S. Navy Medical Service Corps in Vietnam. He is also a past President of the Alabama Optometric Association, former Board Member of St. Anne's Home and JeffCo Health Planning Commission. He is also a former Assistant Professor at the UAB School of Optometry.
