Info | Bukharin represented the right of the Communist Party in the post-Lenin USSR, though he previously had worked with Trotsky on the newspaper "Novy Mir."
Bukharin opposed the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, and advocated using WWI to push for a worldwide Proletarian Revolution.
He was a member of the Politburo and Comintern, which he was elected President of in 1926. He supported Stalin's ideals early on, but later opposed him, leading to being put on trial for plotting to overthrow the Soviet Union. He was killed by the NKVD in 1938.
