Info | Lourdes Flores Nano is a Peruvian politician and lawyer. She currently leads the Popular Christian Party (PPC) in Peru.
She was elected National Deputy for the Peruvian Congress in 1990. Her reelection was won again for 1995-2000 period as a member of the constituent Congress.
After teaching Commercial law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and the University of Lima, Lourdes Flores ran for president during the 2001 elections with the Unidad Nacional party, but stayed behind in third place. She has currently expressed her desire to run for president again in the Peruvian national election, 2006.
According to a recent poll by the University of Lima in December 2005, Lourdes Flores Nano of the Popular Christian Party (PPC) obtained a vote intention of 30.00%, followed by Ollanta Humala (15.8%) and Valentín Paniagua (11.00%). Following Paniagua is Alan García (10.5%) and Jaime Salinas (4.6%).
