OGLE, RORY JOHNS Age 58, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013. He is survived by his son, John Elliot Stermer Ogle of Albuquerque, NM, mother, Gwen Ogle of Albuquerque, NM and brother, Kirk David Ogle of Walcott, CO. He was recently preceded in death by his father, John D. Ogle. Rory was always interested in the Boy Scouts and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout during his High School years. He was a graduate of Heidelberg High School in Germany, The University of Northern Colorado and attended The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. Rory served as a Captain in the US Army, Artillery. Later he was a defense contractor with SAIC, working in test and evaluation. Rory also served in the New Mexico State Legislature, House District 28 from 2003-2005. He was an avid Denver Bronco's fan and a dedicated football father for his son John's YAFL football career. A true American patriot, Rory was a proud Republican, and an enthusiastic student of history and politics. His pets were an especially important part of his life including; his dogs, Nike and Chama and his cats, Etsy, Ketsy, Christy and Spike. Services will be held on February 15, 2013, 9:30 a.m. at French - Lomas. Interment will take place afterward at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the professional, loving care provided to Rory by the staff at the Albuquerque VA Hospital, MICU.
