A veteran and former law enforcement officer and small businessman, Jamie knows the values of duty, community and hard work.
As Minister of Fisheries and Communities, Jamie improved funding and equipment for Island firefighters, community halls, and rinks; enhanced shoreline cleanup efforts; and launched pandemic support programs for communities and non-profit groups.
Jamie has passed laws to expand PTSD coverage for workers, promote sexual assault law education in the Judiciary; and improve road safety for law enforcement.
