| Info | A native of Johnson County, Stephanie Clayton has spent the majority of her life in the area. As a product of the local public school system, she put herself through college at Emporia State University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in History. Following graduation, Stephanie and her husband, Ben, returned to Johnson County, and have lived in their Overland Park home since 2005.
Stephanie has always believed that local government plays a more important role in our day-to-day lives than national politics, and is involved in a number of community and political organizations, including serving as the Chair Emeritus of the Johnson Country Young Republicans, a past board member of the Kansas Young Republicans, and as a member of the Kansas Federation of Republican Women. She cites strong Kansas Republicans Dwight D. Eisenhower and Nancy Landon Kassebaum in her call to public service.
Stephanie and Ben have two children, Stella and Eli, and she is active in the community through her involvement in her homeowner’s association and the John Diemer Elementary School PTA. Stephanie is a member at Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church in Overland Park.
