InfoJustin Yaich was born on April 1, 1980, to Regina L. (Arthur) originally from Nesquehoning and Edward D. Yaich of Jim Thorpe. Justin's family was of Irish, German, Scottish, and Pennsylvania Dutch descent. Both sides of his family worked in the coal mines. His great grandfather Ben Arthur and grandfather Venus Yaich began working in the mines, Ben at the age of 9 picking slate in the breakers. They spent their entire working career in the mines until the closing left both unemployed.

Justin's father, Edward "Danny" Yaich left school at the age of 16 to take a job in a factory to help the family keep their homestead. Later, he became a blue collar, small business owner who operated Yaich Excavating with his brother in Carbon County, a firm they established in 1969.

After graduating high school, Justin began working with his family in the excavating business while attending a local community college.

Justin went on to complete his Bachelors degree in marketing and is currently working on a Masters degree in public administration.

In his personal life, Justin enjoys hunting and fishing with his father. He is a proud member of the NRA (National Rifle Association) and strong supporter of the Second Amendment. Justin also enjoys studying local history and collects memorabilia from the area. Justin is the proud father of a daughter, Taylor, who is 9 years old and attends Shull David Elementary School in Lehighton, PA.

Justin also participates in a variety of local organizations such as; the Jim Thorpe Lions Club, Blue Lodge #440 of the F. & A.M., and several Democratic Clubs in Carbon County including the Carbon County Democratic Executive Committee. He is also involved in the National Notary Association, Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors, and the Pennsylvania State Association of Borough. Justin is also a Licensed Pennsylvania Realtor and a State Building Code Official.
