| Info | Kester, who is single, works as an auditor in the Westmoreland County Controller's Office. He holds an accounting degree from Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pa., and is a graduate of Greensburg Salem High School.
Born and raised in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Mike has a life-long history with the region he hopes to represent. The product of a blue-collar family, he has first hand knowledge of the struggles many people face day to day in Westmoreland County. Working for every hard-earned dollar and how to live on a tight budget were lessons instilled in him and his two older brothers early on by their parents Bruce and Susan, a UPS truck driver and a stay-at-home mom.
As an auditor, Mike has dedicated years to cutting waste for Westmoreland County taxpayers. By going through the state budget line by line Mike will take the hundreds of millions of dollars the government currently unnecessarily spends on itself and put it toward investing in small businesses, creating jobs in our home towns, and providing tax assistance to working Pennsylvanians.
