| Info | Christopher is Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Llanelli. He was selected to fight the General Election in March 2010.
Christopher was born in 1978 and brought up on a family farm in mid-Wales. He studied Modern History and Economics at Oxford before spending a year living and working in Russia. He speaks Russian fluently, if a little rustily, and has travelled widely in Russia and Eastern Europe.
He has studied Russian history and transitional economics and, during his time there, witnessed the beginnings of Putin's Russia.
After returning to Britain Christopher spent five years in the army as an officer in The Rifles. He served on operational tours in Northern Ireland, Kosovo and Iraq in a variety of roles. The experience taught him much about the realities of foreign policy and life abroad, but also about people and life at home. On leaving the army he completed a Masters in Russian and security studies at UCL and retains a close interest in security matters.
Christopher now works for a small company which helps businesses invest well in developing markets.
