Education
B.S. in accounting from Temple University, Phila. Pa. -1966
Completed course work for an MBA in International Business from
Wharton Graduate Division of the University of Pennsylvania. Phila. Pa, in 1968, but hired by Continental Grain in May 1968 and did not complete thesis.
Work Experience
Worked for Catalytic Construction Co. engineers and builders and maintainers of oil refineries, chemical plants and other industrial facilites from 1959 through 1967. Full time before attending college and part time during college and grad school.
After Grad school worked for Continental Grain as a grain trader, Merrill Lynch as a broker specializing in hedging for the agricultural sector of California, then worked for a Malaysian firm as a trader of tropical vegetable oils. This took me to Europe
and Asia and was a way to put my training in economics to work, while observing the various plusses and minuses of the countries I worked in while gaining an education in practical economics and the effects of monetary and fiscal policy in the U.S
and other nations. Finally in 1981, I went to work for H.P. in Palo Alto for 7 years and then in 1988 became a real-estate broker until retiring to Nevada in 2000.
