| Info | Simone De Moore is running to represent the State of Alabama in the U.S. Senate. Simone De Moore is an educator currently working at Palmer Pillans Middle School in Mobile, AL.
Palmer Pillans is challenged like others schools across America. Schools are plagued by problems associated with lack of funding. Educators and staff working with minimum materials and resources in trying to educate children, where the majority of the student body comes from impoverished backgrounds. President Obama's Educational Mission of "Race to the Top" could help in providing much needed funding to help educate students and prepare them to compete in a global society. Students currently lack basic necessities like pens and pencils to facilitate completing assignments and full participation in the education arena.
Background:
I am the product of the Mobile County Public School System. I attended Faulkner University receiving an A.A. in Liberal Arts and B.A. in Business Administration. I hold a Master's Degree from Alabama State University. I am currently enrolled in a Master's Program for Instructional Leadership at Alabama State University.
My wife is the lovely Debbie Harris Moore. We are proud parents of two sons and one daughter. As a husband, father, son, brother, teacher, musician, and a proud American citizen -- I am heartbroken as I hear and see people suffer from problems plaguing this great nation that appear unsolvable. The politics of politics has been played too long -- to the detriment of all American citizens. I want to be the voice of the voiceless who suffer daily from the lack of concern exhibited by the game of politics.
I grew up in the church. God has blessed me with the gift of music. I am an International R&B Soul Artist. I continue using my musical talents as a source of encouragement and inspiration. I bring to you a passion for justice, a spirit of faith, and a determination that things can and will get better with honest representation from a citizen close to the people daily witnessing suffering, lack of hope, unemployment, lack of education and hopeless despair. This can and will be changed with your support of my candidacy.
