After graduation, he moved to Manhattan and began work as a currency trader. He later obtained an MBA in Finance from New York University.
While in New York, Sen. Lamping met his wife of more than 20 years, Caryn. The couple married and had three children – Rachel, Charlotte and Jackson – before returning home to St. Louis, the community that upholds the same values they espouse of family, faith and community first. Upon returning to St. Louis, Sen. Lamping and Caryn welcomed three additional children – Dmitri, Emma and Shelby – to complete their family.
Senator Lamping works as the branch manager for a major St. Louis-based securities brokerage firm and is very active in his community. He has served as a member of the Finance Board and as Parish Council President for St. Alphonsus Church and as the treasurer for Boys Hope Girls Hope of St. Louis. He is currently serving as the Endowment Chair for St. Louis University High School, is a member of the Stewardship Committee for Our Lady of the Pillar and is a member of the Endowment Committee for the St. Louis City Academy.
Senator Lamping’s legislative priorities include creating an environment that will foster sustainable jobs for Missourians and improving Missouri’s adoption process.
