Info | Peter J. Corrigan is a life-long resident of Cuyahoga County, graduating from St. Bernadette Elementary School, and St. Ignatius High School. He also graduated with a bachelors degree in Physics from Wake Forest University, an MBA from Case Western Reserve, and the executive MBA equivalent from Harvard University. He began his career in radiation physics at Victoreen, and later worked for Picker International, Ciba Corning, and finally Prestolite Leece-Neville in various manufacturing, engineering, sales, and administrative positions. He has spent significant time overseas on behalf of his employers, becoming well-acquainted with the emerging "global economy". He believes that his extensive experience in manufacturing and his understanding of global competitveness is a critical asset to regional resurgence, and mandatory for making sound Congressional decisions on behalf of Northeastern Ohio.
Peter is 100% Irish and has a multitude of Cleveland cousins including various Corrigans, McCrones, O'Malleys, Freas, Leffels, Gibbons, McGintys, Morans, Gallaghers, and Collins, to name a few. His father, the late Dr. Peter J. Corrigan, was a physician with a long-standing practice on the near west side. He is also the nephew of the late Hon Judge John V. Corrigan, a former Ohio appellate court judge, and the late Msgr. Thomas C. Corrigan, former pastor of St. Charles Borromeo in Parma. His sisters include Maura Corrigan, former Chief Justice and present sitting justice of the MIchigan Supreme Court, Colette Sirhal, of Detroit, Pat Corrigan, Kate Myers, Grace Narus, and Therese Corrigan. He and his wife of 27 years, Jane Corrigan (nee Onusko), are active members of St. Angela Merici parish with three children: Kevin, Christine, and Allison. He is also an active contributor to and on the Board of Advisors of Cleveland Central Catholic High School and a strong supporter of the Magnificat Track and Cross Country teams.
