Info | David Moran is farmer in Eglon, in Preston County. He operates the Crimson Shamrock Farm on 120 acres of West Virginia mountain top where he raises Wensleydale sheep and Suri alpaca for the international fine fiber market.
He is a retired engineer, having spent his career working for the Navy in the field of oceanography and on ship designs for special operations. He is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds a Ph.D. in Hydrodynamics.
David was a professor at the US Naval Academy, taught at the University of Iowa and served as an Adjunct Professor at the George Washington University.
He was the first President of the National Technology Transfer Center at Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling.
He is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Animal Sciences Department at WVU.
David Moran is married to Lori Wall, has two children, a son serving as an EA6B Pilot for the US Navy, and a daughter who is an author and a former agent of the Central Intelligence Agency. He has three grandsons and one granddaughter.
