Info | Sue Helm, candidate for state Representative, is a successful business owner with a long record of service to her community and to the conservative ideals.
Born and raised in Susquehanna Township, Sue is a 1961 graduate of the Susquehanna Township Senior High School. She received an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from the Harrisburg Area Community College in 1981.
After a career at Capital Blue Cross, Sue purchased a Century 21 franchise in 1986 renaming it Century 21 At The Helm realty. She became a member of the “million dollar club” her first year in business and has since built the company into one of the most successful and widely recognized real estate firms in the capital region.
As owner of Century 21 At The Helm , Sue has been active in the capital region and in the National Associations of Realtors. She has served on the legislative committee of the Greater Harrisburg Association of Realtors and the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors, gaining valuable insight into the workings of state government.
Sue currently serves as First Vice Chair of the Dauphin County Republican Committee. She served as President of the Dauphin County Council of Republican Women in 2005, earning statewide recognition for recruiting the most new members.
During her lifetime of dedication to the Republican Party, Sue has served as a member of the Republican State Committee, a Delegate and Alternate Delegate to the Republican National Convention. In 2000, Sue was one of two Pennsylvania Delegates named to the prestigious Rules Committee at the Republican National Convention. She was also a candidate for the U.S. Congress in 2004.
In addition to her party activities, Sue has been active in her community. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Pride of the Susquehanna, she is a past Board Member and Trustee at Fort Hunter, a member of the Harrisburg Historical Society, and has worked on fundraisers for numerous charitable organizations.
A resident of Susquehanna Township, Sue is a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.
