| Info | Landon K. Thorne, Jr. (~1913-1980), graduated from Yale in 1934. He was associated with the Bankers Trust Company from 1936 until his retirement in 1965, as a vice president and managing director of two of the bank's overseas investment companies. He was a lieutenant commander in the US Navy during World War II. After the war, he was a member of a special State Department task force that set up the military assistance plan in Europe. He was director of the Foreign Operations Administration in Italy from 1953-55, then in Belgium from 1955-56. He was publisher of the Rome [Italy] Daily American from 1956 to 1963.
