InfoMr. Castellano obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Scranton in 1993, where he was a Cum Laude graduate. In 1996 he graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law where in addition to a Juris Doctorate degree he earned a certificate in International Law, studying at the University of Brussels, Belgium as the Dean and Virginia Rusk Fellow of International Law.

Mr. Castellano joined the District Attorney’s Office in 1996 and currently serves as Chief Prosecutor of the Juvenile Division overseeing a staff of attorneys and support personnel specializing in the prosecution of hundreds of juvenile criminal cases each year. He has held that position since September of 2002. Prior to that he was an Assistant District Attorney in the D.U.I. Unit, specializing in the prosecution of alcohol related crimes, including homicide by motor vehicle. He serves as head of the Safe Schools Program overseeing the assignment of Assistant District Attorneys to each school district in Lackawanna County and is assigned as the liaison to Scranton Preparatory School for that program. He also served as supervisor of the District Attorney’s Internship Program, which provides internship opportunities to local college and high school students.

Mr. Castellano is a 1999 graduate of Leadership Lackawanna. He is a member of the Pennsylvania District Attorney Associations, the Juvenile Prosecutors Network, and the Lackawanna Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Keystone College teaching the Federal Rules of Evidence and Constitutional/ Criminal Law and currently serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Scranton teaching Business Law.
