Thereafter, he moved to Philadelphia, PA, beginning work initially with an educational services company and subsequently working for four years as a high school Math and Social Studies teacher in the Urban Careers Education Center, a partnership initiative of the Philadelphia School District and the Reverend Leon Sullivan’s Opportunities Industrialization Center.
In 1976 Les was recruited by the Bell Telephone Company to receive training in computer science and programming languages.
