InfoDenis Sabourin is currently the Chief of Staff for Yukon M.P. Larry Bagnell. Prior to working for Mr. Bagnell (2005 to present), he served 12 years as the Executive Assistant to former Stormont-Dundas-Charlottenburgh Liberal M.P. Bob Kilger from 1994 to 2004. His extensive work around Parliament Hill has given him the experience and knowledge to perform the duties of a Member of Parliament within the House of Commons and the constituency.

In addition to his work assisting Parliamentarians, Mr. Sabourin served his community as a Trustee with the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario 1991 until he decided to step down in 2006. He is an active member of the Knights of Columbus and has helped to establish several councils within the Cornwall area. He has also served as an Auxiliary Constable with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in British Columbia.

Mr. Sabourin is passionate about serving his community, assisting in economic growth within the rural and urban areas, meeting the needs of seniors and families, expansion of health care services and working with constituents to resolve their concerns or issues with the federal government.

Mr. Sabourin is particularly passionate about the potential jobs a Green Revolution can bring to his community as Canadians demonstrate their belief and willingness that now is the time to combat global warming. Also helping all those that have been adversely affected by the Harper government’s decision to tax income trusts.

Prior to his career as a political assistant, Mr. Sabourin was the first Executive Director of Seaway Valley Tourism 1993. He also enjoyed a rewarding career in journalism working for radio networks in such communities as Cornwall, Ottawa, Toronto, Edmonton and Dawson Creek, British Columbia. He has a Diploma in Radio Television Arts from Algonquin College.

Mr. Sabourin and his wife Claire, have two sons, Michael and Christopher (Melissa), and they are grandparents to Avery.
