InfoPaul Maillet is a retired Air Force Colonel with 25 years as an aerospace engineering officer and executive in the Department of National Defence, and four years as the department’s Director of Defence Ethics. He has managed major procurement projects and operating budgets of hundreds of millions of dollars. In addition, Paul has extensive experience in technology management, capital project management, defence contracting and quality management.

Since his retirement in 2001, Paul Maillet has built a successful consultancy in government and business organizational ethics. He has worked on many domestic and international projects, mostly with federal government departments. He was on the 2005 Educators Honor roll at the University of Ottawa for lectures on organizational ethics. Paul is currently a vice chair of the Ethics Practitioners Association of Canada (EPAC) and a former member of the Ethics Review Committee of the Canada Council for International Cooperation (CCIC). Paul is a former member of the original Federal Co-champions Steering Committee on federal government ethics.

Paul Maillet has lived in Ottawa for more than 25 years, 17 of them in Orleans. He was born in the Maritimes and has lived and worked in various parts of Canada as well as other countries. Paul has been active in the community of Orleans as minor hockey trainer, soccer coach, little league coach, former member of Arteast and past chairman of the Board of the Gloucester Arts Council. He lives in Orleans with his wife, Nicole, and sons Andre and Daniel. He enjoys the outdoors, camping, walking, cycling, writing, golf and being a visual artist.

Paul believes that it is past time that we had a strong voice for integrity, the environment and a sustainable economy in parliament and that the Green Party can be that voice.
