| Info | After thoughtful reflection on the condition of our county, state and the wellbeing of its people, I have decided to run for the office of State Senator from Franklin County.
We need effective legislative leadership with a vision for Vermont, leadership capable of recognizing our needs, making the system focus on today's challenges and delivering responsible government to the people.
First and foremost, I am a Vermonter. I find common sense useful and view partisan politics as an obstacle to solutions. We need legislative leadership that instills confidence in our system by making it work for Franklin County. Democrats and Republicans won't solve our problems, Vermonters will.
We live in the most green and beautiful state in the country, but our people need opportunity for advancement, our voice is not being heard. If we expect to retain our young people and business the infrastructure has to be expanded. Energy will play a key role in our future. We need to become increasingly educated, more competitive and better connected. Presently, the tax base is shrinking, revenues are drying up, costs continue to spiral upward, yet no one seems to be accountable.
