| Info | On June 11, a service in Hollywood Hills will honor the life of Suzy Hamblen, wife of the late, legendary Stuart Hamblen. Suzy passed away Monday, June 2, at 101 years of age.
Although she was married to a high profile musician, songwriter and radio personality, Suzy also wrote and recorded a number of gospel songs herself and was a guest on several of Bill and Gloria's Homecoming gatherings over the years. She was a radiant optimist whose love for the Savior was as contagious. She was a noted speaker and ran the family's music publishing company, Hamblen Music Company. A true gospel music treasure, Suzy will long be remembered for her faithful life and her unending love for her husband of 55 years. Now, at last, she joins him in eternity.
Suzy is survived by two daughters,one "daughter-by-choice", two sons-in-law, one "son-in-law-by-choice", and was "Nana" to seven grandchildren, three "grandchildren-by-choice", fifteen great-grandchildren and five "great-grandchildren by choice".
The funeral service will be Wednesday June 11th at 3 p.m, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary in Hollywood Hills, with Dr. Keith Philips from World Impact Ministries officiating.
