| Info | Mayor Scott K. Evans, a life-long area resident, was born in the Atlantic City Hospital on September 8, 1965. He attended Atlantic City High School and later, as a member of Local 54, worked in the food and beverage department of Harrah’s Hotel and Casino.
Mayor Evans began serving the community in 1987 when he joined the ranks of the Atlantic City Fire Department. As a firefighter, he worked his way up the chain of command and presently holds the rank of Battalion Chief, from which he is on leave while serving as the Mayor of the City of Atlantic City.
Mayor Evans is also an instructor with the Atlantic County Fire Academy and the International Association of Firefighters, as well as a Rescue Manager for the New Jersey Task Force One Urban Search and Rescue Team.
