Info | Rep. Lindell Shumake, a Republican, represents Marion and Ralls Counties (District 6) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2010.
In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Shumake runs two small businesses (Kan-Man Metal Recycling and LS Tax Service) in the Hannibal area and serves as a chaplain at Hannibal Regional Hospital. He previously worked for the Missouri Division of Family services as a caseworker from 1977 – 1996. Rep. Shumake also served in the United States Army including a tour of duty in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970. He received the Army Commendation Medal for Service in Vietnam.
Rep. Shumake is involved with the New Hope Gospel Center and God’s Harvester’s Inc.
Rep. Shumake is a 1968 graduate of Hannibal High School. He received his A.A. from Hannibal LaGrange College in 1974 and his B.A. in Sociology from Quincy University in 1976.
Born December 24, 1949 in St. Louis, Rep. Shumake currently resides in Hannibal with his wife, Lydia. They are the parents of Johanna C. Shumake.
