Info | George Barry was born in Nashville, Tennessee. One of nine children, George learned early on the principles that would carry him through life~
* Share whether you have a little or a lot
* Do what is right - and don't check to see who's looking
* Clean up your own mess
* Don't take things that don't belong to you
* You get out what you put in
* Every person should be respected, but not every idea
* What you do today DOES matter - to God, country, family and yourself
* If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything
* Don't spend what you don't have - someone always pays in the end
George worked his way through college as a door-to-door salesman earning degrees in Business, Accounting and Psychology. He was elected Vice President of the student body, Who's Who in American Colleges and was the Pledge President of the fraternity Sigma Nu.
He then married his college sweetheart, Diana, and had 3 beautiful daughters; Beth, Kellie and Abby. George and Diana have been married for almost 33 years.
George started work right after college as an insurance agent then found an opportunity in the packaging manufacturing industry. He currently owns his own business as a sole proprietor selling the equipment for manufacturing process lines representing over 1,000 manufacturers.
Although busy with a family and a business, George has stayed active in our community. He is a member of the State Republican Executive Committee and the Madison County Republican Executive Committee. He was also the President of Citizens Against Pornography and the campaign manager for a Congressional candidate in 1994. An active member of Whitesburg Baptist Church, George has taught Sunday School for fifteen years. He has been involved in numerous community service projects and, when his girls were younger, he was a softball coach and the chief chauffeur for all volleyball games.
