Info | WILSON, William Henry, a Representative from Pennsylvania; born in Philadelphia, Pa., December 6, 1877; attended the public and high schools and was graduated from the law department of the University of Pennsylvania at Philadelphia in 1898; was admitted to the bar in 1899 and commenced the practice of law in Philadelphia, Pa.; served as assistant city solicitor 1900-1909; member of the State house of representatives 1913-1915; served as director of public safety, Philadelphia, 1916-1920
US House (R-PA) 1935-1937; unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1936
After losing his re-election bid, Wilson began making plans to move to Montecito, California. While on a visit to his building lot with his architect and landscape gardener, Wilson had a heart attack and died while on the way to the hospital (Sacramento Bee, 8/12/1937).
Remains were cremated and placed in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, Calif.
