Info | Born and raised in Deer Lake, Humber Valley, Dwight is well known to the people of the Humber Valley – and the province. Dwight was first elected in February, 2007 and at that time was appointed Opposition Critic for Health and Community Services.
Dwight – an avid outdoorsman - graduated from the School of Pharmacy in St. John’s in 1977 and then moved back to his home to begin his professional career. In 1994, Dwight acquired Humber Valley Complex in Deer Lake and from that point continued to grow his business interests in the pharmacy and personal care home sectors.
He has been effectively and passionately involved in his profession and his community. Dwight has held many positions with Newfoundland and Labrador Pharmacy Board and is the Vice President of the Canadian Pharmacists Association.
In the community, Dwight has been an active member of the Deer Lake Chamber of Commerce, a past-president, Director of the Deer Lake and area Food Bank, Chairperson of the Humber Valley Broadband Net, board member of the Deer Lake Airport Authority and for many years has sat as director with the Western Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Dwight has a deep rooted and steadfast commitment to the district of Humber Valley. He knows the people, knows their needs and looks forward to working with them and for them as we look to the future.
