| Info | Igor Toutchinski immigrated to Canada from Ukraine. In 1993, he co-founded MixTV, a media company that produces programs for CityTV and a radio show on CIRV 88.9 FM. It also releases a weekly newspaper. Igor is the CEO of the RC Broadcasting Company and also a TV and radio host of the shows highly popular within the local communities.
He has been serving as a special counsel to the League of Human Rights of the B'nai Brith Canada, helping to fight anti-Semitism, racism and human rights abuse. Igor has also been a member of the JRCC and New Start, a non-profit organization in which he uses his personal experience to assist new immigrants. Every year, Igor takes great pride in lending a helping hand to Multicultural CHIN TV and Radio during the traditional Canada Day CHIN Picnic.
In 2006, Igor ran for city councillor in the Toronto municipal election in Ward 10, York Centre. He placed second among the seven contenders.
Igor graduated from Lviv University with a degree in Journalism. He speaks four languages. Igor and his wife, Maria, have two daughters: Anna and Helen.
