Info | O'SULLIVAN, EUGENE DANIEL, a Representative from Nebraska; born on a cattle ranch near Kent, Reno County, Kans., May 31, 1883; attended the public schools of Kent, Kans.; was graduated from Christian Brothers College, St. Joseph, Mo., in 1903; attended St. Benedict's College, Atchison, Kans., in 1904 and 1905; graduated from Creighton University Law School, Omaha, Nebr., in 1910; was admitted to the bar in 1910 and commenced the practice of law in Omaha, Nebr.; unsuccessful Democratic candidate for the gubernatorial nomination in 1934; was unsuccessful as a write-in candidate for election to the United States Senate in 1934; delegate to the Democratic National Conventions in 1924, 1928, 1932, 1940, and 1944; elected as a Democrat to the Eighty-first Congress (January 3, 1949-January 3, 1951); unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1950 to the Eighty-second Congress; resumed the practice of law; died in Omaha, Nebr., February 7, 1968; interment in Calvary Cemetery.
