Info | Councilman Warren “Maurice” Branch was born in Baltimore City on January 16, 1961 to Rosa and Lee Andrew Branch. He is the brother of State Delegate Talmadge Branch. In 1979 he received a General Education Diploma from Calvert Education Institution.
He attended the Community College of Baltimore majoring in Business Administration. In 1983 he was certified as an Emergency Medical Technician at the Community College of Baltimore and was employed by American Ambulance System for over 10 years. In 1984 he was employed with the City of Baltimore as a Laborer for Montebello Filtration Plant. He was also commissioned by the Governor of Maryland as a Notary Public. He also attended the National Academy for Paralegal Studies, Inc. in 1989 and was certified as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant. In 1992 he volunteered with the Public Justice Center where he was trained as a Tenant Advocate representing tenants who had landlord disputes. In 1995 he was elected by the community as President of Madison East End Improvement Association. He was also assigned to the Mayor’s Neighborhood Service Center Eastern District under Mayor Kurt Schmoke and Director George Balog where he served the citizens of East Baltimore proudly. In 2003 he was promoted to a Public Works Inspector.
In 2006, Warren was elected to the State Central Committee by the citizens of the 45th Legislation District. He also graduated from Weichart Real Estate School and was commission as a Real Estate Agent.
