Info | Todd was born in 1964 in Arlington, Virginia. His interest in the federal government began early through his father's career with the U.S. State Department. Todd first moved to the Orlando area when he transferred from George Washington University (where he was their #1 tennis player as a sophomore) to play tennis for Rollins College in Winter Park. In 1986 he graduated from Rollins with a B.A. in economics.
After earning his law degree at Wake Forest University, Todd returned to Orlando in 1989 and began his practice in commercial litigation and insurance defense with the firm of Drage, deBeaubien, Knight and Simmons. Throughout his legal career, Todd has tried many cases for insurance companies and injured victims. In 1998, he became a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer, a distinction shared by 2% of lawyers in the state of Florida. In 2005, Todd started the law firm of Long and Gonzalez. He and his wife Ninette reside in College Park with their two children, Noah and Natalia.
In response to the lack of congressional leadership on pressing issues such as the national debt, our dependence on foreign oil and the illegal immigration crisis, Todd began a conservative radio talk show, "A Different Direction", which aired on 540 WFLA am Radio. The show discussed solutions to these challenges. Todd also organized "Square Deal" rallies and town hall meetings to further this cause.
As a father, Todd is concerned about the future that career politicians are handing our children and believes we can do so much better.
As a small business owner, Todd understands the needs and challenges of small businesses.
As a community leader, Todd works hard to give back to the community through his church, various charities and business and service organizations.
As Congressman, Todd will provide specific solutions and leadership to deal with our county’s greatest challenges. He will work hard to be responsive to the concerns of his constituents in district eight as well as to provide for a better future for all Americans.
