A former educator and department chairperson, Ms. Middleton earned her degree from Morgan State University. She continued her career as a Specialist with the State Department of Education where she assisted in the implementation of the Career Connections Program and work-based learning initiatives. Because of her sensitivity, tact, approachability, friendly and outgoing personality, she was assigned to represent the State Department of Education as a Loan Executive for the United Way-Maryland Combined Charities Campaign. She later served as a State Advisor for two national student organizations, Future Leaders of America and the Health Occupations Student Association. Ms. Middleton worked as an administrator for the Governor’s Workforce Investment Board and the Office of General Services in the Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulations.
